Task 2. Study the advertisement. Visit our Sunday market!
You are considering visiting a Sunday market in your town and now you’d like to get more information. In 1.5 minutes you are to ask four direct questions to find out about the following:
1) opening hours
2) parking facilities nearby
3) variety of goods on sale
4) if hot drinks are available
You have 20 seconds to ask each question.
Could you tell me about…? (Например, Could you tell me about the opening hours of the market?) Could you tell me what the opening hours of the market are?
What are the opening hours of the Sunday market? What are the opening hours?,

Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project «Different hobbies». You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12—15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
• Пункт, где учащегося просят выразить свое мнение, имеет три разных вариации: you prefer, you’d prefer и you preferred as a child. При ответе необходимо употребить именно ту форму, которая была указана в задании, например, as a child I preferred или I would prefer…
Hi Rob! As you might remember, we are currently working on a project about different hobbies and we need a couple of pictures for it. Well, I have found the pictures, but I cannot send them to you right now – I think there are some technical issues. Anyway, I will tell you about these snaps and share my ideas with you in this voice message.
As for the first picture, it represents some children playing board games. I think they are in the classroom as they are clearly sitting at the desks. The second picture shows some LEGO set on the table, there is a hand next to it and i think there is a person behind the camera who is excited to start putting this LEGO set together. Nothing much is happening in the picture, and as for the location – it is clearly some room or probably a classroom.
I believe that these pictures are perfect for our project as they represent different hobbies that people often take up.
The hobbies depicted in the images are different, though. The first hobby – playing board games – usually requires at least two players, while it is easy to play with LEGO when you are alone. Another major difference is the rules: board games usually have a clear set of rules while playing with LEGO has no rules at all and the game is only limited by the imagination of the player.
When it comes to the advantage of board games, the main advantage is clearly the development of the social competence of the players, while the disadvantage of the games of such kind is that it is fairly easy to lose some things required for the game – such as dice, for example. As for the advantage of playing with LEGO, it is definitely the infinity of things that one can make with the particles. As for the disadvantage, I would say that it can be painful to step on LEGO particles, but it happens quite often as many kids play LEGO on the floor.
Talking of my preferences, I would prefer the hobby depicted in the first image as I enjoy talking to my friends and trying to understand the rules of some new games that I haven’t played yet.
That’s all that I wanted to say.
